Jannette Meriweather Gregory is a twenty-five year veteran of grass roots social work, specializing in family therapy at the community-based level. She is an expert in parenting processes both professionally and personally as the mother of eight biological and step children as well as legion of foster children. Ms Gregory was sanctioned in her role as a master clinician and trainer years before she received her masters in social work in 1995 from the University of Maryland and her license as a social work supervisor.

Ms. Gregory has served as the clinical director for several community based human service agencies in Baltimore. Ms Gregory also is a partner, along with her husband, in the Rafiki Consortium LLC, a private consultant firm that provides direct services (individual, couples and family therapy) to families and consultation, training and technical assistance to public and private agencies.

Ms Gregory participated in the development and dissemination of “Enriched Structural Family Therapy” a treatment model that is used effectively by professionals and paraprofessionals to service underrepresented populations. She also developed "Total Love Parenting", a parenting curriculum designed to accommodate the basic needs of community parents and sophisticated needs of professional helpers.

As a presenter, Ms Gregory is known for her wit, energy and engaging style of presentation as well as her wealth of knowledge and practical skills. She is an insightful clinician and trainer and an active advocate for families who is grounded by a deep spiritual understanding and a radiant love for people.

Dr. Henry Gregory is a mental health professional with over thirty years of experience. He holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and master degrees in Community Mental Health and Psychology. He has expertise and extensive experience as a clinician, supervisor, director, trainer, consultant and researcher in a number of service areas including child welfare, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, juvenile justice, school-based mental health, and behavioral health.

Dr. Gregory’s primary clinical orientation is in family systems. He has specializes in the development of treatment models that are applicable to diverse service populations and the clinicians who deliver services to them. Along with his wife, Jannette, he has participated in the modification the original structural family therapy model and developed “Enriched Structural Family Therapy” to directly address the clinical needs of families whose issues and processes fall outside of the mainstream. At Progressive Life Center of Washington, DC he led the development of “NTU Psychotherapy” a culturally competent system of care that is spiritually based.

As a constructivist, Dr Gregory passionately believes that we create our own destiny by how we think about ourselves and our circumstance. To this end, he believes that a focus on strengths, competencies, resilience etc will revolutionize the field of mental health. His recent research on resiliency is intended to expand the knowledge base in the competency movement and consequently support briefer and more culturally competent service delivery to more diverse populations internationally.
